Julie Guy, B. A.
After several years of volunteering for NBA as the Live Auction Digital Coordinator for our “Art for Autism” auction, Julie officially joined NBA as a staff member in 2014 providing administrative support for the NBA office, as Office Manager.
Julie grew up in the Seattle area and graduated from the University of Washington with a B.A. in Speech Communications. After working several years in administrative roles in The Seattle Times newsroom, and, also at Microsoft, she became a mother, and left the workforce to raise her three children. Julie also became an NBA parent in 2008 when her middle son, Anthony, was diagnosed with autism and was in need of services.
Seeking to hone her grammar and writing skills, in the spring of 2016, Julie completed the Technical Writing program at Bellevue College, with an emphasis on white papers and SEO (Search Engine Optimization).
As an avid baker and an art lover, Julie has pursued her longtime passion as a sugar artist, and can often be found in the kitchen creating artful and unique cookies for themed parties and celebrations.
