Child quote of the month

Wendy, NBA Program Manager and Max (age 8), reviewing the story he just wrote:

Wendy:  “Max, you can’t start this sentence with “and,” you need to either change your starting word, or erase the period on the last sentence and replace it with a comma.”

Max:  “Well, I’m getting older you know, and sometimes artists make a choice about the way they will do their work.”

"NBA is like an oasis in a desert. It is such a relief for parents of special-needs children to have an organization like NBA which is dedicated to special-needs kids and their progress. The knowledge, experience, kindness, and integrity that NBA staff members possess is unrivaled. As a parent, when I face a difficult situation with my son with autism, I always turn to NBA for advice and solutions and I have never been disappointed."
